Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!
Enjoy this holiday, especially the sec4, after this holiday we are going to work hard for SYF and bring our SILVER medal back.
New Year resolution:
1. Let's be more bonded together
2. Everybody together in harmony
3. Let's all grow to be more mature
4. Get a SILVER back for the teachers, conductors and seniors who had sacrifice so much for us.

We have decided to remove the Graduating seniors' coloumn as it is quite difficult for us to track back MOST of the seniors. This is unfair to those seniors whose name doesn't appear in the column. So we have decided to remove it after much consideration.

There are 3 announcements
1st announcement:
Self Practice will resume this Monday, 17 May 2010. Attendance is compulsory. Everyone is expected to attend as there will be no supplementary or remedials on during this point of time. People who did not attend self prac without valid reason, disciplinary action will be taken.

2nd announcement:
Band Practice will start this Wednesday, 19 May 2010. Do not be late!
Sec 1 Band prac will resume on next Friday, 21 May 2010.

3rd announcement:
All Sec4 are to meet Mrs Lim on Wednesday, 19 May 2010.

Date : 16th Dec 2009 (Coming Wed)
Time : 4pm to 9pm (You can come and leave anytime)
Band Member$2/Person
Financial Assitance $1.50/Person
CMC $3/Person

A 5minutes walk from MacDonald.

Do come and have fun with band members. We want to bond the whole band together in this outing.

No worries, there will not be any playing of instruments. (: BUT! We will dance sock hop tonight together for a few minutes. Just to teach those juniors who have not learn the dance steps yet. (: Alright.

Anyway, those who are going have to pay $2 for the food and drinks. Financial assistance band members will have to pay $1.50. We really hope that all band members can join in this outing to build up a good bonding of bandmates, if you have problems paying $2 or $1.50, please call either Chun Hui or Zhi Wen or your Sectional Leaders. They will try their best to help you. Be supportive! (:

Mr Tan, Mr Ye, Mr Ng, Ms Rekkha, Mrs Lim, Ms Lai, Mr Ridzwan, Mrs Ng are also invited to this BBQ session. And we hope to see you there too and have fun together with our lovely teachers and conductors. It doesn't matter if you can come for awhile only. But do come! ^^

Dear Sectional leaders,

Be informed that you are supposed to organise a sectional outing (Juniors+Seniors) during the 2 weeks break of the band practice. During the sectional outing, sl must make sure that the following tasks are completed :

Seniors to teach Sec 1 band members the dance steps for Sock Hop Tonight
Memorize Sock Hop Tonight (Whole score)
Know the dance steps well for Sock Hop Tonight

Sectional leaders will decide the date and time and the confirmed details will be passed down to the whole section once it has been decided. Sl, please make it a enjoyable and fun learning session for ur section members. (:

And wish that all band members will have a fun time in this sectional learning outing.

Sl, please inform the date and time of ur sectional outing to either Chun Hui or Zhi Wen asap by sms or email, once you have decided and confirmed.

All members are supposed to memorize the dance steps by the next band practice which is on 22 dec 09 @ 12.30, melody room.

To all dear mpss symphonic band members:

This blog has not fully done. We are now working on the blogskin and we need help from all of you guys.

*Anyone of you who has photo of our band; farewell photos, syf photos, or any other band members group photos, pls send it to either chun hui via chunhui_ng@hotmail.com or zhi wen via spce-zhiwen@hotmail.com. We seriously need band photos to complete the final touch-up of this blog, so band members kindly help. (:

This blog will soon be our online notice board. Any upcoming events or updated news will be updated in this blog. Easier for exco to pass down news quickly. And if there is any news being updated in this blog, pls help to inform the rest of the band members so that the band communication will be faster and news will reach all band members in no time.
